Job summary

YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is seeking a part-time Group Exercise Instructor for Yoga at the Weigand Family YMCA in Fort Wayne, IN. The role focuses on connecting participants to wellness goals through engaging yoga sessions and fostering a welcoming community.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of group exercise instruction and current certifications (ACE/YMCA, ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NETA). Flexible hours include Tue/Thu and Wed evenings, with competitive hourly pay.”

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• A degree in health and fitness is preferred.
• One year of group exercise instruction or equivalent preferred.
• Current certifications ACE/YMCA, ACE, ACSM, AFAA, or NETA.

Responsibilities

• Connect members with each other and build authentic relationships.
• Adhere to safe class structure, with health and fitness components, and assist participants as needed.
• Lead energizing, safe, educational group classes and answer participant questions to support goals.
