Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking a driven Facility Manager to lead maintenance and housekeeping operations at the Fairfax County Reston facility, ensuring safe, welcoming spaces for members and staff.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, preventive maintenance, and vendor coordination while building teams, managing budgets, and promoting high performance in a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in facilities management, housekeeping operations, or building maintenance.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventive maintenance.
• Pool Operator Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
• Available for emergency call-outs as needed.

About the Role

As the Facility Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day facility operations, preventive maintenance programs, and housekeeping services across the YMCA Fairfax County Reston. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in in facilities management, housekeeping operations, or building maintenance.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventive maintenance.
