Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional for our Reston campus to perform cleaning and housekeeping duties in line with written standards.

The role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean environment, assisting with event setups, and supporting the facilities team; tasks are carried out with minimal supervision and progress toward Leader Certification.

Qualifications

• Capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, buffers, etc.).
• Knowledge of cleaning chemical capabilities, mixing proportions and use.
• Knowledge in maintenance and care of finished surfaces.
• Ability to respond to accidents, spills, and other housekeeping emergencies.
• Ability to communicate with rest of staff.
• Position requires ongoing progress towards Leader Certification.

Performs cleaning and housekeeping functions consistent with written standards

Supervisory Responsibility:

• No Supervisory responsibility
