Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking a Senior Camp Counselor to lead games, activities, and special events, creating a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for every camper. You’ll mentor counselors, oversee groups, and stay active all day.

CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it, 18+, a high school diploma, and background check are required. This summer role offers a bi-weekly paycheck, a Free Y membership, and opportunities to build leadership and resume-ready skills

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and a high school graduate.
• Camp or youth experience and leadership ability.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it; background check clearance.

What We’re Looking For:

• You’re 18+, a high school grad, and a natural leader
• You’ve got camp or youth experience and love working with kids
• You’re down to be active, loud, creative, and present—all day, every day
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to get certified)
• Able to pass a background check
