Job summary

Case Farms, Inc. in Morganton, NC is seeking a team member to support poultry processing operations on the line. You will inspect the floor for chickens that have fallen off the line, catch them and return them to the line, and remove any birds that have died.

The role requires good attendance, willingness to cross-train, basic math, and clear communication with other hourly employees and plant management, while adhering to safety procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
• May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 db.
• You must wear and use protective, and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
• Must handle the weight of 8 to 10 lbs. repetitively, occasionally lifting, pushing or pulling 40 to 70 lbs.
• Exposure to dust, feathers and chemicals used in poultry processing facility.
• Ability to work in a stationary position, on foot for the entire shift.
• Ability to work with tools, like scissors, knives and/or power tools for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to climb steps and to access and egress through production environment.
