Job summary

Case Farms, Inc. is seeking an on-site maintenance technician to manage water treatment systems and wastewater operations. The role involves monitoring, chemical analysis, data recording, and ensuring safe, efficient plant performance.

You will operate computer systems to track plant operations, maintain logs, and assist with pretreatment and rendering equipment. Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform operational maintenance on water treatment systems.
• Must be able to obtain Wastewater Operator's license.
• Valid driver’s license and high school diploma required.
• Excellent attendance and communication skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform operational maintenance on water treatment systems.
• Pump blood from kill room.
• Monitors wastewater treatment plant and identifies needed changes and potential problems; makes necessary adjustments.
• Performs chemical analysis of water samples.
• Operates a computer to monitor pump stations, plant operations, and alarms.
• Maintains daily records and shift logs of plant operations.
• Reviews readings from meters, computers, and instruments.
• Yard jockey handles the wastewater truck.
• Oversees the operation of pretreatment equipment.
• Ensure proper operation of rendering and offal equipment.
• Be willing to cross-train and learn all tasks in department.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Ability to obtain a Wastewater Operator's license.
• Valid Driver’s license, High School Diploma/GED.
• Ability to maintain equipment after training Excellent attendance record.
• Excellent communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Exposure consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
• Exposure to outside temperatures.
• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
• You must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
• Must handle the weight of 8 to 10 lbs. repetitively, occasionally lifting, pushing, or pulling 40 to 70 lbs.
• Exposure to chemicals used in the poultry processing facility.
• Exposure to dust, feathers and chemicals used in poultry processing facility.
• Ability to work in a stationary position, on feet for the entire shift.
• Ability to work with heavy machinery for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to climb steps and to access and egress through the production environment.
