Job summary

SkyWater Technology in Bloomington, MN seeks a highly skilled Yield Principal Engineer to lead the integration of new semiconductor technologies into our fabrication environment. The role focuses on optimizing yield and quality while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The candidate will design experiments, analyze data, and drive continuous yield improvement projects, with mentoring to junior engineers and exposure to cutting-edge technologies such as 90nm and SOI processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field; advanced degree (MS/Ph.D.) preferred.
• 10+ years’ experience with BS, 7-10 years with MS, 5+ years with PhD in semiconductor yield engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of new semiconductor technologies into the fab environment.
• Collaborate with process, device, and manufacturing teams for successful ramp-up to production.
• Design and execute experiments to characterize new processes and technologies.
• Analyze yield data and perform root cause analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain yield models to predict and optimize yield for new technology nodes.
