Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, Texas, is seeking a staff-level Yield Analysis & Improvement engineer to own end-to-end yield performance across wafer sort, parametric, and final test. You will apply data mining, statistics, and machine learning to identify limiters and build automated analytics pipelines linking defects to electrical data.

Qualifications

• B.E., M.Sc. or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Applied Physics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor yield or process integration preferred.
• Strong coding and data analysis skills (Python, SQL) and familiarity with statistical tools.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end yield performance across wafer sort, parametric test, and final test.
• Perform advanced data mining and statistical analysis to identify yield limiters and drive improvements.
• Define and execute defect reduction strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Lead root cause investigations and coordinate with FA, Design, and Product teams.
