Yearling Assistant, Infant Lead, and Floater
BrightStars helps families in Rhode Island access quality child care, early learning, and school-age programs. We help child care providers learn about best practices in early learning and apply them to the care children receive. We recognize program quality and give parents information to make choices about their children’s care and education.
Position Overview
We’re growing and looking for passionate, caring, and dependable educators to join our early childhood education team! We are currently hiring for three exciting opportunities:
- Infant Lead Teacher – Lead our infant classroom by creating a safe, nurturing environment while planning engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences for our youngest learners.
- Yearling Assistant Teacher – Support the lead teacher in our yearling classroom, helping toddlers learn, explore, and reach important developmental milestones.
- Floater Teacher – Provide support throughout the center by assisting in multiple classrooms, ensuring children receive exceptional care and teachers have the help they need.
Responsibilities
As an infant, yearling, or floater teacher, you will:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curricula and activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment.
- Assess children’s progress and communicate with families.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and adhere to BrightStars standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or supporting multiple classrooms (for floater).
- Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting children’s growth.
