Job summary

The University of Michigan’s Michigan Dining is hiring a Food Service Worker to join the East Quad Hall team. Work assignments are seniority-based and may be loaded across departments to ensure year-round coverage.

This is a year-round, 40-hour-per-week role with a fixed afternoon-evening schedule. You will follow standardized recipes in production kitchens or service lines, maintain HACCP-compliant hygiene, setup stations, assist cooks, trim meats and cheeses, and prep vegetables and fruits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in English and ability to interpret instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow standardized recipes in back-of-house or front-of-house settings.
• Maintain a clean work environment following HACCP standards and health codes.
• Set up assigned work stations and assist cooks with routine food preparation.
• Trim and slice cooked meats and cheeses; prepare vegetables and fruits.
