Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health seeks a Behavior Technician II to support individuals with IDD/BH in our Youth Crisis Therapeutic Home in Culpeper, VA. This full-time role offers QMHP-T supervision and a $2,000 sign-on/retention bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver daily programs, therapeutic interventions, and personal care support, aiming to prevent crisis and hospitalization while promoting independence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with IDD/BH disorders required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field or QMHP trainee status; ability to register as QMHP trainee within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles used for work.

Responsibilities

Full- Time Schedule (one opening per shift):

• SHIFT 1 | Sun & Mon (7AM-7PM) Tue & Wed (7AM-3PM).
• SHIFT 2 | Sun & Mon (7AM-7PM) Tue & Thu (3PM-11PM).
• SHIFT 3 | Sun & Mon (7PM-7AM) Tue & Thu (11PM-7AM).
• SHIFT 4 | Wed-Thu-Fri-Sat (1 PM-11 PM).
• SHIFT 5 | Wed & Thu (7AM-3PM) Fri & Sat (7AM-7PM).
• SHIFT 6 | Wed & Thu (3PM-11PM) Fri & Sat (7PM-7AM).

Your Role in Our Mission:

As a Behavior Technician II (BT), your days will be spent equipping individuals with the tools, coping skills and support to prevent hospitalization and crisis. Responsibilities include facilitating daily programs and rehabilitative activities, providing therapeutic interventions, and assisting with personal care.

As a member of the REACH team, you will work closely with participants' primary care providers, community crisis services, and families to ensure comprehensive support for those referred to the home.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive Rate: $21 - $24 / hr based on experience.
• Paid training: CPR / first-aid, Mindset, Medication Administration, Infectious Disease, Seizure Management, and QMHP-T supervision!
• Receive a sign-on and retention bonus paid at 3, 6, and 12 months (full-time new hires only). Plus, additional yearly stipends provided as grant funding permits!

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) disorders required
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field of study, or QMHP (trainee), or.
  • The ability to register as a Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee and be approved within 30 days of hire.
• Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work.
