Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Culpeper, VA seeks a Behavior Technician II to support individuals with IDD/BH in a Youth Crisis Therapeutic Home. You will facilitate daily activities, deliver therapeutic interventions, and assist with personal care under supervision.

The role offers a part-time schedule (Sat-Sun 7a-7p) with a $21–$24 hourly rate, a $2,000 sign-on/retention bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Training and QMHP supervision are provided to support professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with IDD/BH disorders required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field or QMHP trainee.
• Ability to register as QMHP Trainee within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic interventions.

Part-Time: Saturday & Sunday 7a-7pm.

Your Role In Our Mission

As a Behavior Technician II (BT), your days will be spent equipping individuals with the tools, coping skills and support to prevent hospitalization and crisis. Responsibilities include facilitating daily programs and rehabilitative activities, providing therapeutic interventions, and assisting with personal care. As a member of the REACH team, you will work closely with participants' primary care providers, community crisis services, and families to ensure comprehensive support for those referred to the home.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Rate: $21 - $24 / hr based on experience.
• Paid training: CPR / first-aid, Mindset, Medication Administration, Infectious Disease, Seizure Management, and QMHP-T supervision!

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) disorders required
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field of study, or QMHP (trainee), or...
• The ability to register as a Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee and be approved within 30 days of hire.
• Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work.
