Easterseals PORT Health seeks a Behavior Technician I to support adults with IDD/BH in Culpeper, VA. You will help clients develop coping skills, run daily programs, and provide therapeutic interventions within the ATH setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with IDD/BH disorders.
• Bachelor’s degree in human service field or high school diploma as alternative.
• Valid state driver’s license and auto insurance for work use.

• Facilitate daily programs and rehabilitative activities.

We are seeking a passionate Behavior Technician I to work with individuals living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and mental health challenges residing in our Adult Therapeutic Home (ATH) located in Culpeper, VA.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday 3pm – 11pm

Your Role in Our Mission

As a Behavior Technician I (BT), your days will be spent equipping individuals with the tools, coping skills and support to prevent hospitalization and crisis. Responsibilities include facilitating daily programs and rehabilitative activities, providing therapeutic interventions, and assisting with personal care. As a member of the REACH team, you will work closely with participants’ primary care providers, community crisis services, and families to ensure comprehensive support for those referred to the home.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Rate: $20 – $25 / hour based on experience
• Paid training: CPR / first-aid, Mindset, Medication Administration, Infectious Disease, Seizure Management, and QMHP-T supervision!

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) disorders required
• Bachelor’s degree in human service field of study, or High School Diploma
• Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
