Job summary

Clear Investment Group in Chicago seeks a Yardi Systems Specialist to own Yardi Voyager across property management and accounting. You will configure, secure, and evolve the system while coordinating upgrades and ensuring data integrity.

You will drive projects, manage integrations, and deliver accurate reports for audits and stakeholders. The role requires strong communication and meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced real estate environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years administering Yardi Voyager with hands-on property management and accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of RentCafe, Procure to Pay, and Investment Manager.
• Experience with ETLs, custom reporting, and onboarding new properties.
• A track record of driving projects to the finish line. You follow up, close loops, and don’t let things stall.
• Meticulous attention to detail. You catch the setup error before it becomes a reporting problem.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
• A team-first mindset and a strong commitment to CIG’s success.
• Work Authorization: This position does not offer employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• System ownership: Serve as the go-to expert and first point of contact for all Yardi questions, issues, and requests across corporate and property-level teams.
• Configuration and administration: Manage Yardi Voyager configuration and ongoing maintenance, including user security, roles, and menus.
• Acquisitions and onboarding: Set up new acquisitions in Yardi from both the property management and accounting sides.
• Projects: Own Yardi-related projects from scoping through completion, on time and on budget.
• Upgrades and change management: Coordinate, test, and document upgrades, patches, and new modules.
• Reporting and data: Build and maintain custom reports and queries.
• Integrations: Manage integrations and data flows between Yardi and other business systems.
• Process improvement: Find new ways to use Yardi to improve daily operations.
• Training and support: Provide day-to-day user support and lead training.
• Documentation: Maintain clear process documentation and user guides.
• Vendor liaison: Act as the primary contact between CIG leadership and Yardi’s support and sales teams.

ABOUT THE ROLE

CIG is a boutique real estate investment firm based in Chicago with assets nationwide. Yardi Voyager is the platform our entire business runs on, from property management to accounting to investor reporting. We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Yardi specialist to be the single point of contact for everything in the system. You will own Yardi at CIG: how it is configured, how it is used, how it is secured, and how it evolves.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• System ownership: Serve as the go-to expert and first point of contact for all Yardi questions, issues, and requests across corporate and property-level teams.
• Configuration and administration: Manage Yardi Voyager configuration and ongoing maintenance, including user security, roles, and menus.
• Acquisitions and onboarding: Set up new acquisitions in Yardi from both the property management and accounting sides, including data mapping and conversion.
• Projects: Own Yardi-related projects from scoping through completion, on time and on budget. Identify risks early and communicate them.
• Upgrades and change management: Coordinate, test, and document upgrades, patches, and new modules or subscriptions before they reach users.
• Reporting and data: Build and maintain custom reports and queries. Support audit and compliance requests with accurate data extracts.
• Integrations: Manage integrations and data flows between Yardi and other business systems, including ETLs.
• Process improvement: Find new ways to use Yardi to improve daily operations, and hold teams to system best practices so data stays clean.
• Training and support: Provide day-to-day user support, and lead training for corporate and property staff, including new-hire Yardi onboarding.
• Documentation: Maintain clear process documentation and user guides so that system knowledge lives with the team, not one person.
• Vendor liaison: Act as the primary contact between CIG leadership and Yardi’s support and sales teams.
