Job summary

CLEAR INVESTMENT GROUP is seeking a Yardi Systems Administrator to own Voyager 8 and Yardi CRM across multifamily property operations in Chicago. This full-time role focuses on post-migration stabilization, data integrity, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with accounting, asset management, and leadership teams.

• 3+ years administering Yardi Voyager 7S (security, roles, menus, configuration).
• Experience with multifamily property management workflows.
• Custom reporting using SQL, YSR, or similar.
• Experience setting up new properties or migrating data into Yardi.
• Track record of driving projects to finish and clear communication with non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Yardi expert and escalation point for Voyager 8 and Yardi CRM.
• Lead post-migration stabilization and optimization of Voyager 8.
• Administer Yardi CRM including user setup, workflows, and data flow.
• Manage configuration, security, roles, and menus.
• Coordinate, test, and document upgrades and patches.
• Act as primary liaison between leadership and Yardi support/sales.
• Set up new acquisitions in Yardi for property mgmt and accounting.
• Manage integrations and data flows between Yardi and other systems.
• Hold teams to best practices to keep data clean.
• Build and maintain custom reports and queries; support audits with data extracts.
• Own Yardi projects from scoping to completion.
• Find ways to improve daily operations using Yardi.
• Lead Yardi training for staff; maintain user guides.

THE ROLE

Yardi is the platform our entire business runs on, from leasing and property management to accounting and investor reporting. We recently migrated from Voyager 7S to Voyager 8 (Yardi Elevate) and Yardi CRM, and we need someone to own the platform from here: optimizing the new environment, cleaning up what carried over from 7S, and making sure every team gets full value from it. As our Yardi Systems Administrator, you will own how it is configured, how it is used, how it is secured, and how it evolves as we add properties. You’ll report to the Director of Operations and partner with property, accounting, asset management, and leadership teams, with our third-party Yardi helpdesk handling first-line user requests.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

System Administration & Security

• Serve as CIG’s Yardi expert and escalation point for corporate and property-level teams across Voyager 8 and Yardi CRM.
• Lead post-migration stabilization and optimization of Voyager 8, resolving issues carried over from Voyager 7S and adopting new Elevate capabilities.
• Administer Yardi CRM, including user setup, workflows, and the flow of lead and leasing data into Voyager.
• Manage configuration and ongoing maintenance, including user security, roles, and menus.
• Coordinate, test, and document upgrades, patches, and new modules before they reach users.
• Act as the primary contact between CIG leadership and Yardi’s support and sales teams.

Acquisitions & Data

• Set up new acquisitions in Yardi on both the property management and accounting sides, including data mapping and conversion.
• Manage integrations and data flows between Yardi and other business systems, including ETLs.
• Hold teams to system best practices so data stays clean and reliable.

Reporting & Projects

• Build and maintain custom reports and queries, and support audit and compliance requests with accurate data extracts.
• Own Yardi projects from scoping through completion, identifying risks early and communicating them clearly.
• Find new ways to use Yardi to improve daily operations across the portfolio.

Training & Documentation

• Lead Yardi training for corporate and property staff, including new-hire onboarding.
• Maintain clear process documentation and user guides so system knowledge lives with the team, not one person.

A TYPICAL WEEK

Most of your time goes to building and improving: configuring security for a new hire, tuning a Voyager 8 or CRM workflow, building a custom report for asset management, or mapping data for a property we’re about to acquire. Part of the week is spent with the business, in working sessions with accounting or property teams and a check-in with our Yardi helpdesk on escalations. The helpdesk handles first-line requests, so your attention stays on the work that moves the system forward.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-have

• 3+ years administering Yardi Voyager 7S (security, roles, menus, configuration), not end-user experience only
• Working knowledge of multifamily property management and accounting workflows
• Custom report and query writing (SQL, YSR, or similar)
• Experience setting up new properties or migrating data into Yardi
• A track record of driving projects to the finish line, and clear communication with non-technical colleagues

Nice-to-have

• Experience migrating from Voyager 7S to Voyager 8 (Yardi Elevate), a strong plus
• Hands-on Voyager 8 and Yardi CRM administration
• RentCafe, Procure to Pay, or Investment Manager
• ETLs and third-party integrations
• Training property-level and new-hire staff on Yardi
