A growing multifamily affordable housing organization is seeking an experiencedYardi Affordable Housing Supervisorto oversee Yardi Voyager Affordable Housing administration, property setup and transitions, technical support, project management, and system optimization.
This is a hands‑on leadership position for an experienced Yardi professional who understands both theaffordable housing and accounting sides of Yardi Voyager. The successful candidate will serve as a primary Yardi subject matter expert while supervising support resources, managing Yardi projects, and partnering with Accounting, Compliance, Operations, IT, and other departments.
Key Responsibilities
Yardi Affordable Housing Administration and Support
- Serve as a primary subject matter expert for Yardi Voyager Affordable Housing and related applications.
- Provide hands‑on technical and functional troubleshooting for Yardi system issues.
- Administer user accounts, security roles, permissions, property assignments, workflows, scheduled reports, custom menus, and other system configurations.
- Troubleshoot issues involving system configuration, reporting, workflows, integrations, interfaces, and data.
- Support Yardi modules and applications including Voyager Affordable, RentCafé, Procure to Pay, and other implemented Yardi products.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex Yardi issues and coordinate with Yardi Client Support and third‑party vendors as necessary.
Affordable Housing Property Setup and Accounting
- Lead complete Yardi setup, conversion, and implementation of affordable housing properties from initial configuration through go‑live.
- Configure and validate property, building, unit, resident, affordable housing program, subsidy, security, workflow, and reporting requirements.
- Support Yardi configurations for HUD Project‑Based Section 8, LIHTC, layered programs, and other regulated housing programs.
- Partner closely with Accounting to ensure appropriate setup and functionality of the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, resident ledgers, bank accounts, charge codes, cash receipts, security deposits, subsidy/HAP receivables, and financial reporting.
- Understand how affordable housing activity flows through the resident ledger and accounting system and troubleshoot discrepancies between operational, subsidy, and financial data.
- Validate converted resident, affordable housing, accounting, and financial data during property transitions.
- Conduct pre‑ and post‑go‑live quality‑control reviews to ensure properties are configured accurately and completely.
- Support acquisitions, management transitions, property conversions, and dispositions.
- Oversee the Yardi support‑ticket queue and ensure requests are acknowledged, assigned, prioritized, responded to, documented, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Monitor open, pending, unassigned, unreplied, and aging tickets.
- Troubleshoot and respond directly to complex or escalated Yardi support requests.
- Establish expectations for response times, resolution, escalation, documentation, and customer service.
- Analyze ticket trends and recurring issues to identify root causes and opportunities for system improvements or additional training.
- Monitor ticket volume, aging, response and resolution times, backlog, and other support‑service performance indicators.
- Provide reporting regarding ticket activity, significant system issues, and outstanding items.
Project Management and System Implementation
- Serve as project manager or technical lead for Yardi implementations, property transitions, system enhancements, new modules, integrations, upgrades, and process‑improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, responsibilities, dependencies, testing requirements, and deliverables.
- Coordinate cross‑functional projects involving Accounting, Compliance, Operations, IT, and other stakeholders.
- Manage multiple concurrent Yardi projects and property implementations.
- Identify project risks and delays and proactively drive outstanding items toward completion.
- Coordinate testing, user acceptance, implementation, documentation, training, and post‑implementation reviews.
Training and Team Supervision
- Supervise and provide direction to assigned Yardi support team member(s).
- Manage workloads across support tickets, property setups, implementations, testing, and other Yardi projects.
- Establish performance expectations for response times, project completion, system accuracy, documentation, and customer service.
- Develop and deliver Yardi training for new hires and existing employees.
- Create and maintain SOPs, user guides, quick‑reference materials, and system documentation.
- Use support‑ticket trends and recurring user issues to identify training and process‑improvement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive Yardi experience, with significant hands‑on experience with Yardi Voyager Affordable Housing.
- Prior experience working within a multifamily affordable housing property management environment.
- Demonstrated experience with the complete setup and conversion of affordable housing properties in Yardi Voyager.
- Strong working knowledge of HUD Project‑Based Section 8, LIHTC, and other affordable housing programs and their relationship to Yardi system configuration.
- Strong understanding of Yardi accounting functionality, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, resident ledgers, subsidy/HAP activity, banking, cash receipts, and financial reporting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and determine whether system discrepancies originate from configuration, data conversion, integration, accounting setup, user processes, or other system issues.
- Experience managing Yardi support tickets, including response, prioritization, escalation, resolution, backlog management, and performance monitoring.
- Demonstrated project management experience, particularly involving Yardi implementations, property conversions, system enhancements, or technology projects.
- Experience with property acquisitions, transitions, conversions, and implementations.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Yardi Voyager Affordable Housing expertise.
- Experience supporting a large or multi‑state affordable housing portfolio.
- Experience with RentCafé, Procure to Pay, Yardi integrations, interfaces, and third‑party applications.
- Experience with affordable housing certifications, subsidy/HAP processing, compliance reporting, and resident accounting.
- Prior supervisory or team‑lead experience.
- Experience developing Yardi training materials, SOPs, and technical documentation.
