Job summary

Prinsco in Prinsburg, MN, is looking for a Yard Worker/Outdoor Forklift Operator. The role starts at $20.00 per hour with a sign-on bonus of $2,000. You will inspect forklifts, manage loading/unloading, and maintain safe, efficient handling of goods in a loud work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and general manufacturing experience.
• Ability to perform basic math and read safety rules and manuals.
• Forklift experience preferred and ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Able to work in loud environments and lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Completely inspect assigned forklift at the start of shift to handle all shipping and receiving of products safely and efficiently.
• Accept load sheets from the dispatcher, coordinate the proper trailer/tractor to use, and transport all finished goods by forklift to their proper place.
• Inform dispatch or mechanic of any mechanical, electrical, or structural defects found on any equipment.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED and general manufacturing experience.
• The ability to complete mathematical calculations, read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Forklift experience preferred with the ability to achieve forklift certification.
• Ability to work in a loud noise environment; lift up to 25 pounds consistently and 75 pounds occasionally; use hands and reach with hands/arms, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for up to two or three-quarters of the workday; and good distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• A minimum of six months industrial forklift operation preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience preferred.
