Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. in Michigan is seeking a Yard Associate to perform a variety of yard tasks, operate a forklift, assist customers, and stock inventory while adhering to safety procedures.

You will load and move product, review orders, complete required paperwork, and support inventory control. This outdoor, physical role requires a high school diploma or GED and OSHA forklift certification; six months of related experience is preferred. Growth opportunities exist within BFS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and six months’ experience performing these or similar tasks; or equivalent training/education/experience.
• Requires OSHA Forklift Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers in the location and loading of product.
• Reviews materials loaded against invoice or requisition; completes and routes paperwork.
• Moves product/material throughout the yard ensuring placement in correct areas.
• Ensures product/material is well stocked of inventory at all times.
• Performs routine cleanup of yard.
• Attends periodic safety meetings and may suggest safety improvements.
• Other duties may be assigned.
