Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, is seeking a yard associate to load and move products with a forklift, assist customers, and maintain accurate inventory in the outdoor yard. This role requires OSHA forklift certification and a high school diploma or GED, with at least six months’ related experience.

You will work under direct supervision, perform routine paperwork, and ensure safety practices while contributing to a well-stocked, efficient yard environment

Qualifications

• Requires High school diploma or GED and six months’ experience performing these or similar tasks.
• Requires OSHA Forklift Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers in locating and loading product.
• Reviews materials loaded against invoice or requisition; completes and routes paperwork.
• Moves product/material throughout the yard ensuring correct placement.
• Keeps inventory well stocked at all times.
• Performs routine yard cleanup.
• Follows safety procedures and attends periodic safety meetings; may suggest safety improvements.
