Job summary

Viking Inc in Warren, ME is seeking a reliable yard associate to assist with loading, stocking, and customer service duties in our lumber yard.

You will operate a forklift, prepare orders, manage inventory, and help keep piles neat, with responsibilities including snow removal in winter; prior lumber yard experience is helpful; benefits include health insurance, PTO and 401K.

Qualifications

• Prior lumber yard experience helpful.
• Prior building materials experience helpful.

• Load company vehicles in accordance with delivery invoices to include lifting and carrying merchandise, lumber and building materials.
• Prepare customer orders to include retrieving merchandise and materials from storage areas in accordance with customer invoices.
• Operate forklift to load, unload and stock merchandise as needed.
• Put away product and keep lumber piles neat and organized
• Adhere to all approved company policies and procedures.
• Report customer complaints to Manager or Officers.
• Inventory goods and notify Manager of shortages and needed goods to be ordered.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Removal & Shoveling of Snow from material piles and yard during Winter Months

Job description

Salary Range: $45,000.00 To $58,000.00 Annually

Basic Function: To perform all assigned duties in the yard to assist with quality customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Load company vehicles in accordance with delivery invoices to include lifting and carrying merchandise, lumber and building materials.
