Job Title: Yard Worker at Viking Lumber

This is a full-time, entry-level position based on skills and experience, with a salary range of $36,000 to $55,000 per year. The role reports to the Store Manager or Dispatcher and involves working Monday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Load company vehicles according to delivery invoices, including lifting and carrying merchandise, lumber, and building materials.
• Prepare customer orders by retrieving merchandise and materials from storage areas.
• Operate forklifts to load, unload, and stock merchandise.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Report customer complaints to management.
• Inventory goods and notify management of shortages and required orders.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Remove and shovel snow from material piles and yard during winter months.

Skills and Qualifications

• Customer service skills
• Basic math and reading skills
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Prior experience in lumber yards or building materials is helpful

Additional Information

Position requires working during specific hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm on a rotational basis.
