EMR USA Metal Recycling is seeking a dependable General Laborer to join our yard operations in Houston. The role will assist with day-to-day tasks, housekeeping, site cleanup, and equipment maintenance in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workplace.
• Assist with general housekeeping and yard cleanup.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and cleaning of barges.
• Follow all safety procedures and perform duties as assigned.

EMR USA is looking for a dependable General Laborer to join our team. This position will assist with the day-to-day operations of the yard, including housekeeping, site cleanup, equipment maintenance, and general labor duties.

The ideal candidate is safety-minded, reliable, able to work independently, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workplace
• Assist with general housekeeping and yard cleanup
• Clean and prepare work areas by removing debris and potential hazards
• Assist with equipment maintenance
• Clean barges and equipment
• Follow all operating, health, and safety procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to use basic hand tools, including snip cutters, brooms, shovels, and similar tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work overhead, climb ladders, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Previous forklift experience is preferred
