Job summary

AtWork Group's client in Harrisburg, NC is seeking dependable Yard Workers for a full-time, outdoor industrial environment.

Ideal candidates have manufacturing, steel handling or general labor experience and are safety-focused. Responsibilities include inspecting fixtures, wiring steel parts, lifting and transporting steel, and using hand/power tools. Shifts: 2nd and 3rd with potential overtime on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or steel industrial environment is required.
• Ability to lift/move steel materials safely.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working outdoors around industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect production fixtures, chains, and hooks for wear or damage and repair or remove items as needed.
• Hand-wire steel parts to racks for processing.
• Wrap chains and ropes around steel bundles for safe handling and transportation.
• Lift, move, hang, and remove steel parts throughout the production process.
• Remove excess zinc and ash from galvanized steel products.
• Use hand tools and power tools to prepare and finish steel materials.

Yard Worker – Industrial Manufacturing Location: Harrisburg, NC Pay: $18.00–$20.00/hour, based on experience and shift Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly Shifts: 2nd Shift & 3rd Shift Overtime: Potential overtime available on Saturdays

Position Summary

Our client, a leading industrial manufacturing company in Harrisburg, NC, is seeking dependable and hardworking Yard Workers. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, reliable, and comfortable working in an outdoor industrial environment while handling steel materials and production equipment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position requires working in a physically demanding industrial environment that may include: Outdoor weather conditions Heat, fumes, chemicals, and wet conditions Moving mechanical equipment Uneven terrain and industrial areas Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds
