Job summary

First Fence of Georgia is seeking a hands-on Yard & Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations in the yard, warehouse, and wood shop. You will motivate the team, manage material flow, and ensure accurate orders for installation crews, while embracing an ESOP culture that rewards ownership.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of leadership in related settings, forklift experience, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This is a full-time, onsite role with growth into leadership positions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership in warehouse, yard, or construction supply operations.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and performing physical work.
• Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

You'll be out in the yard leading by example, keeping operations organized, supporting your team, and making sure our installation crews have exactly what they need to succeed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the daily activities of our yard, warehouse, and wood shop team
• Pull, stage, load, and verify materials as needed
• Keep inventory organized
• Monitoring quality and accuracy before crews leave for the jobsite
• Coach and develop team members
• Improve workflows and identify opportunities for greater efficiency
• Ensure installation crews receive complete, accurate orders
• Use our inventory and ERP system to maintain accurate inventory and order tracking

This is a working supervisor role - you'll spend time both leading the team and working alongside them.

Experience We'd Love to See

• Warehouse, yard, or distribution leadership
• Building materials, fencing, lumber, roofing, manufacturing, or construction supply
• Forklift experience
• Inventory management
• Leading small teams
• Shipping, receiving, or order fulfillment

Leadership title isn't everything - we care just as much about initiative, work ethic, and your ability to improve an operation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of warehouse, yard, manufacturing, distribution, or construction supply leadership experience preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and performing physical work throughout the shift
• Valid driver's license
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
