Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, is seeking an entry-level Material Handler in Florida. Under direct supervision, you’ll move materials on the premises and support production flow.

Responsibilities include lifting and carrying items, operating material handling equipment, and following safety procedures. You’ll participate in on-the-job training to learn processes and contribute to a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• On-the-job training provided for entry level positions.
• Knowledge of motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with safety procedures in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Physically handles materials to optimize movement; lifts, carries, stacks items.
• Operates motorized and non-motorized handling equipment; may require training.
• Attends training to learn work processes and safety practices.
• Adheres to safety procedures to prevent injuries to self and coworkers.
• Other duties may be assigned.
