Job summary

Bailey Lumber & Supply is seeking a Yard/Warehouse Lead to direct a small team and manage daily material flow. You will receive, stock, and count inventory while ensuring safe forklift operation and accurate paperwork. The role emphasizes customer service and maintaining organized bays.

Experience in freight handling and a valid driver’s license are preferred. You will help with deliveries and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4–6 years industry experience / freight handling.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to lead a small team (<10 associates).
• Forklift operation experience and safety.
• Strong communication and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work of warehouse/yard associates and coordinate daily tasks.
• Receive, stock, count, and record inventory and materials.
• Operate forklift safely and move materials as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Monitor and assist with inventory control and paperwork.
• Support deliveries and loading/unloading as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and training.
