Job summary

Ridout Lumber and Meek's, Divisions of US LBM Holdings, LLC, seeks a Yard/Warehouse Lead to direct warehouse and yard associates, oversee inventory, and ensure safe, efficient material movement. This working lead role requires forklift operation and hands-on leadership.

You will coordinate daily tasks, maintain organized bays, and support order fulfillment while upholding safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
4–6 years freight handling or warehouse experience.
Forklift operation and safe material handling.
Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.

Operate safely.

Assist warehouse associates and direct supervisor in maintaining an organized work environment.
May include, emptying trash receptacles, and keeping all bays and staging areas clean and organized.
Receive incoming products, commodities and materials.
Provides Excellent Customer Service
Count and record receipt of materials.
Stock all material received in appropriate bins or storage locations.
Assist inventory control in counting and organizing warehouse materials.
Operate forklift with foot and hand controls.
May use forklift to build outgoing orders or to load completed orders onto delivery equipment
Operate facility equipment as necessary (e.g. bander, power tools, various hand tools).
Monitor inventory as required by location management.
May have some logistics oversight (or act as backup).
Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results.
Serves in a working lead role overseeing fewer than 10 associates, directing daily work assignments and coordinating tasks.
May operate a company vehicle to transport materials, perform deliveries, transfer inventory between locations, or complete other business-related tasks after completing required training and authorization, in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
