Job summary

Clay Today in Cold Spring is seeking a dependable Yard Worker to join our wholesale distribution team. You will help maintain an organized yard and warehouse, operate forklifts, assist drivers and customers, and ensure inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. This full-time role offers health benefits, PTO, and retirement plan opportunities.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift, warehouse, yard, or construction supply experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to be trained).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
• Pull, stage, and verify customer orders accurately.
• Assist customers and contractors with pickups and product loading.
• Receive incoming inventory and verify shipments against packing slips.
• Organize and maintain inventory in the yard and warehouse.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Work closely with warehouse, sales, and delivery staff to support daily operations.
