Job summary

Superior Product Distributors, Inc. is seeking a Yard & Warehouse Associate in Seymour, CT to support daily yard and warehouse operations. You will load and unload materials, maintain organized inventory, assist customers and drivers, and help keep the yard safe and efficient in all weather conditions.

This full-time role requires reliability, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety. Forklift experience is preferred, and candidates should be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors

Qualifications

• Warehouse/yard or construction material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to safety and workplace organization.
• Reliable, punctual, able to work independently or in a team.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory handling.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks with construction materials using forklifts and other equipment.
• Assist customers, contractors, and drivers with locating and loading materials.
• Organize and maintain yard inventory to ensure materials are properly stored and accessible.
• Pick, stage, and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard and warehouse environment.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues.
• Assist with receiving incoming shipments and verifying quantities and product quality.
• Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines.
• Support team members and management with general warehouse and yard duties as needed.
