Independence Excavating, Inc. operates Indy Equipment & Supply in Independence, OH, seeking a reliable Yard/Store Employee. You will manage yard organization, assist with equipment handling, and support daily operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in a dynamic outdoor environment.

The role includes physical tasks, equipment operation, and potential overtime with a focus on accuracy and teamwork within a family-owned company established since 1956.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of proper use of equipment preferred.
• Must be able to operate equipment such as motor vehicles, front-end loader, tow motor, bobcat, power washer.
• Operate equipment with safety rules in mind and abide by them.
• Must recall equipment/tools locations for timely retrieval.
• Must handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• Must communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisor.
• Role is indoors and outdoors in all weather; overtime may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Load customers' vehicles with supplies or gravel.
• Organize the yard and warehouse per Store Manager's directions.
• Keep the shop clean, neat and orderly at all times.
• Maintain appearance of main yard with orderly equipment storage.
• Locate and inventory equipment, materials and supplies in yard and shop.
• Load and unload deliveries or shipments in/out of yard.
• Empty trash from shop, lunchroom and yard into dumpsters daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
