Job summary

Ground Effects LLC in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Yard Porter to drive vehicles and help receive, stage, label and track vehicles in the yard per customer and internal requirements, while following OSHA and Health & Safety procedures.

You will report damages, support yard flow, FIFO staging, and keep the yard clean and safe. The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Ability to operate safely per Health & Safety policy and OSHA.
• Must have valid US driver's license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate customer vehicles.
• Receive, label and stage vehicles into the yard per requirements.
• Report vehicle damage to yard lead.
• Flag and stage mis-shipped vehicles as instructed.
• Stage vehicles in FIFO order.
• Inform yard lead of safety or flow concerns.
• Keep yard clean and orderly while following safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
