Job summary

Rival in Ohio is seeking a Yard Worker responsible for maintaining the yard, stacking and organizing lumber, loading and unloading material, and ensuring inventory accuracy while operating a forklift.

You will inspect products, assist in staging for delivery, and collaborate with teammates to optimize workflow, while following safety protocols and maintaining a clean, orderly yard. This role requires regular attendance and OT availability.

Qualifications

• Read a measuring tape and verify material dimensions.
• Drive a forklift with onsite training and operate toward safe yard practices.
• Regular and punctual attendance is essential for team productivity.
• Communicate clearly with management and floor staff to maintain workflow.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to stack and organize lumber by size and type.
• Inspect lumber for defects and ensure quality standards.
• Safely load trusses onto trucks for delivery.
• Relocate trusses from racks for yard staging.
• Build truss packages and prepare for delivery.
• Maintain inventory accuracy of wood products and hangers.
• Unload and receive product from vendors and verify shipments.
• Collaborate with teammates to optimize yard workflow.
• Follow safety protocols and keep work area clean.
• Maintain regular attendance and be able to work overtime.
