Carter Lumber is hiring a Yard Associate in Ohio to assist contractors and DIY customers, load orders, and keep the yard organized. You will pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, and help maintain inventory with cycle counts. Forklift operation is involved, with training provided to qualify for certification.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Friendly personality and ability to be a team player are important.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIY customers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup and/or delivery.
• Maintain yard inventory with cycle counts and keep the yard organized and clean.
• Operate forklift (training provided) and pursue certification as needed.
