Job summary

A-Gas Americas is seeking a Yard Truck Operator to manage movement and positioning of ISO tanks and trailers in the Rhome yard. You will ensure safe operations, accurate check-in/check-out in Cyltrak, and keep records of recertification dates and yard locations.

The role requires experience with heavy equipment, HazMat/EPA 608 certifications, and strong communication. This position offers a stable day shift in Texas and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• HazMat Certification and EPA 608 Certification required.
• Experience operating yard trucks or other heavy equipment.
• Experience with pumps, hoses, compressors, PSM, and Lockout Tag Out.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel/Word).
• Strong communication to support plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate yard truck to move ISO tanks and trailers.
• Receive, inspect and check-in/out ISO tanks in internal system Cyltrak.
• Load and unload chassis with ISO tanks as needed.
• Inspect ISO tanks and chassis, track recertification dates.
• Maintain yard locations and cleanliness per standards.
• Assist Process Operator 1 with production needs.

As a Yard Operator, you will help maintain an organized and efficient yard by managing the movement, location, and condition of ISO tanks and trailers. If you enjoy hands-on work and want to contribute to a growing operation, A-Gas offers an opportunity to build a rewarding career.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate yard truck to move ISO tanks and Van Trailers as required to support operations.
• Receive, inspect & check-in or out ISO tanks using required standards & record in the Company's internal proprietary system (Cyltrak).
• Load & unload chassis with ISO tanks as required.
• Regularly inspect ISO tanks & chassis and maintain records of recertification dates, as well as communicate to appropriate personnel when recertification dates are approaching.
• Maintain records of the locations of ISO tanks in the yard & on the ground.
• Maintain cleanliness & organization of the yard truck(s) and the Rhome yard(s) as required by internal standards
• Assist Process Operator 1 with production needs as directed.

Experience, Knowledge, and Qualification

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to obtain HazMat Certification and EPA 608 Certification
• Experience in operating a yard truck, box truck or other heavy equipment
• Previous experience with Pumps, Hose, Compressors, PSM, and Lockout Tag Out
• Experience with Microsoft 365, including Excel/Word
• Great communication skills to support plant operations

Shift Work Expectations

• Monday – Friday; 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
