Job summary

A-Gas Americas in Texas is seeking a Yard Truck Operator to safely move ISO tanks and trailers within the yard, keep records, and support daily operations.

The role requires hands-on work, attention to safety, and the ability to operate yard trucks, box trucks or other heavy equipment. Candidates should have a high school diploma and be willing to obtain HazMat and EPA 608 certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to obtain HazMat and EPA 608 certifications.
• Experience operating yard/box trucks or heavy equipment.
• Experience with Pumps, Hose, Compressors, PSM, and Lockout Tag Out.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Excel/Word) and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate yard truck to move ISO tanks and trailers as required to support operations.
• Receive, inspect & check-in or out ISO tanks using required standards and record in Cyltrak.
• Load & unload chassis with ISO tanks as required.
• Regularly inspect ISO tanks & chassis and maintain records of recertification dates.
• Maintain records of the locations of ISO tanks in the yard and on the ground.
• Maintain cleanliness & organization of the yard truck(s) and the yards as required by internal standards
• Assist Process Operator 1 with production needs as directed.

As a Yard Operator, you will help maintain an organized and efficient yard by managing the movement, location, and condition of ISO tanks and trailers. If you enjoy hands-on work and want to contribute to a growing operation, A-Gas offers an opportunity to build a rewarding career.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate yard truck to move ISO tanks and Van Trailers as required to support operations.
• Receive, inspect & check-in or out ISO tanks using required standards & record in the Company's internal proprietary system (Cyltrak).
• Load & unload chassis with ISO tanks as required.
• Regularly inspect ISO tanks & chassis and maintain records of recertification dates, as well as communicate to appropriate personnel when recertification dates are approaching.
• Maintain records of the locations of ISO tanks in the yard & on the ground.
• Maintain cleanliness & organization of the yard truck(s) and the Rhome yard(s) as required by internal standards
• Assist Process Operator 1 with production needs as directed.

Experience, Knowledge, and Qualification

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to obtain HazMat Certification and EPA 608 Certification
• Experience in operating a yard truck, box truck or other heavy equipment
• Previous experience with Pumps, Hose, Compressors, PSM, and Lockout Tag Out
• Experience with Microsoft 365, including Excel/Word
• Great communication skills to support plant operations

Shift Work Expectations

• Monday – Friday; 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
