Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking immediate opportunities for Full-time Class A Yard Drivers in Batavia, IL. Earn $26.27 per hour with overtime for hours over 40 per week, and enjoy a 4-day work week with home daily.

A driver referral bonus of up to $5,000 per referral is offered along with comprehensive benefits. You will operate late-model Penske trucks, with in-cab cameras for safety, and be tasked with moving, coupling/uncoupling trailers, and securing trailers for loading and unloading.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• DOT medical card (non-excepted interstate) required.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the past 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR with two or fewer violations or accidents.
• English language proficiency required by federal law.
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management.
• Couple and uncouple trailers.
• Chock trailers as they are spotted for loading/unloading and pull from doors.

What you will do:

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management

• Chocking trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pulling from doors

Schedule:

• Sunday through Wednesday
• 9:00 PM start time

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the past 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
