Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) in Tennessee seeks a professional driver to move tractors and trailers in yards, docks and shipping areas, following safety and DOT policies. You will perform trailer movement, hook/unhook, staging at docks, and keep logs accurate while meeting delivery needs.

Responsibilities include inspections, minor maintenance, keeping areas clean, and complying with DFA procedures. Requires CDL-A with tanker endorsement if needed, and HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL Class A license with tanker endorsement if required.
• Tractor/trailer experience preferred within the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers to optimize plant/warehouse efficiency.
• Hook and unhook trucks around dock and service areas.
• Spot and position loaded trailers at dock spaces for unloading/loading.
• Connect loaded semitrailers to tractors for drivers.
• Maintain accurate trailer and inventory movement logs.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Keep assigned area sanitary and clean; wash exteriors if needed.
• Complete sales route deliveries and/or over-the-road routes as needed.
• Adhere to DFA quality, safety, DOT and GMP policies; report issues.
• Attend driver workshops and training sessions.
