Essential Duties

The following essential duties are expected, considering job knowledge, environment, effort, manipulative skills, judgment, safety knowledge, and responsibility. Required duties include but are not limited to:

• How to connect a trailer to the tractor
• How to disconnect the trailer from the tractor
• How to manually connect a trailer to the tractor
• How to manually disconnect a trailer from the tractor

Note: Perform any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

The following are the qualifications and requirements for the job:

Education: Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Physical: Ability to climb in and out of the truck; strength to open and close trailer doors; strength to turn the crank to manually release the trailer from the tractor.

Skills: Ability to drive a tractor trailer; ability to back trailers into confined spaces.

Experience: 1-3 years preferred.

Responsibility: Responsible for safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and housekeeping.

Other: Overtime may be required.
