Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking Transportation Associates to perform yard trailer moves, coordinate yard activities, conduct basic driver training programs, and support the transportation network across multiple site types.

You will operate CMVs on yard/non-public roads and ensure on-time trailer arrivals with zero defects. Basic qualifications include a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma, being 21+, English proficiency, ability to lift 49 lbs, and flexibility to work 40 hours per week plus

Qualifications

• Holds a valid and active driver’s license and is 21+ years old.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Able to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for shifts up to 12 hours.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and enforce company rules for all vehicle operators and yard personnel.
• Perform yard functions to ensure trailers arrive/depart on time with zero defects.
• Operate Commercial Motor Vehicles on yard roads to move trailers as directed.
• Learn and comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Amazon policies.
• Complete driver vehicle inspection reports and report maintenance issues.
• Track hours and breaks in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Provide peer training and support at nearby sites as needed.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks using approved equipment.
