Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Transportation Associate for yard operations, trailer moves, and coordination of yard activities to support its transportation network. The role involves operating various CMVs, adhering to DOT regulations, and training peers as needed.

Required are a valid driver's license, high school diploma, and the ability to work 40 hours weekly with flexible shifts, including nights and weekends. CDL may be pursued with company support, depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid and active driver's license.
• 21 years or older with ability to understand and follow English safety guidelines.
• Able to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk up to 12 hours.
• Work 40 hours/week with overtime as required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Make safety a priority by following company rules and policies for all vehicle operations and yard entrants.
• Perform yard functions to ensure trailers arrive/depart on time and maintain workflow.
• Operate CMVs on non-public roads or in yard and move trailers to/from dock and parking areas.
• Learn and comply with DOT regulations and Amazon policies.
• Complete vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues to management.
• Follow delivery schedules and track working hours/breaks per policy and regulations.
• Support site operations by training peers or working at nearby locations as needed.
• Drive/load/unload trailers using approved equipment.
