Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to discern numbers and read labels for sorting packages.
• Ability to operate basic equipment and handle packages safely.

Responsibilities

• Performs trailer switches moving a parked trailer from yard to a load/unload door or vice versa.
• Communicates with management to coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
• Documents trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Loads and unloads packages onto/from delivery vehicles, trailers, and conveyors.
• Sorts packages by reading labels and charts to determine conveyor paths.
