AAA Cooper Transportation, founded in 1955, is a multi-regional trucking company providing services across LTL, full truckload and more. Hostlers move trailers door to door to ensure timely freight delivery while enjoying comprehensive benefits and a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trailers, planning loads, inspecting equipment and fueling vehicles. Candidates must have a high school diploma, be 18+, and pass background checks and drug screens.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency backing 28 ft, 48 ft and 53 ft vans.
• Ability to operate hostler/yard dog and pass hostler cert.
• Must be highly motivated with good listening and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic dock environment.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers from door to door and around the yard.
• Load/unload trailers and move freight on the dock with/without equipment.
• Load freight per Bills of Lading, delivery receipts and labels.
• Plan loading to maximize space and minimize damage.
• Hook/unhook trailers from tractors and manage landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operation.
• Fuel trucks, tractors and other equipment.
• Clean and maintain dock, trailers and work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
