Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation is seeking a dedicated hostler to move trailers between doors and yard locations to ensure on-time delivery. You will load/unload freight, arrange trailers for efficient space usage, and perform basic equipment checks.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced dock environment. As a full-time employee, you will work on-site with competitive benefits and opportunities for skill development in yard operations, including operating hostler equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 18 years or older and capable of passing the required screenings.
• Proven ability to back 28/48/53 ft vans and operate a hostler/yard dog.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers from door to door and around the yard as needed.
• Load and unload trailers and handle freight on the dock or with assistance.
• Plan loading to optimize space and reduce damage risk.
• Hook and unhook trailers; operate landing gear and fifth wheel as required.
• Inspect equipment for defects and maintain a clean work area.
• Fuel and perform basic maintenance on equipment as directed.
