Job summary

Penske Logistics, Liberty, NC is seeking a yard coordinator to direct the movement of trucks, trailers and freight while ensuring accurate data in internal systems. You will create a shunt schedule and act as the main contact for yard activity and safety policy adherence.

The role requires a high school diploma, experience with dolly crank and bolt cutters, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook. Shift: 2nd; pay $22.00/hour with $0.75 shift differential, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience using a dolly crank and bolt cutters.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with Outlook and Intranet.
• Strong time management and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Creates yard layout and trailer movement schedule (known as “shunt schedule”).
• Interfaces with Security as needed regarding safety, accidents and customer policy.
• Conducts yard audits and ensures accuracy of information in internal and/or external electronic systems through accurate data entry and audits.
• Performs necessary reporting functions.
• Accountable for maintaining a safe work environment.
• Meets deadlines for reports and activities.
• Adherence to company guidelines and expectations.
• Other projects as assigned by the Supervisor.
