Job summary

Saddle Creek Logistics Services is seeking a Yard Driver to help organize and maintain trailers within our yard locations. The role does not involve public road driving and contributes to on-time delivery by managing trailer movement and yard readiness.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid license, and at least one year of tractor-trailer yard experience. We offer competitive pay and benefits, with opportunities for overtime and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in operation of a tractor-trailer unit in a yard/warehouse setting.
• Ability to work overtime and adjust schedule as needed.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver a tractor and trailer in a compact yard area.
• Complete yard check daily.
• Move empty trailers to shipping doors and set loaded trailers to doors as directed.
• Perform and document pre- and post-shift safety inspections.
• Keep yard tractor clean and operate with safe backing skills.
