Job summary

Prairie Farms Dairy Inc. in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a 2nd Shift Yard Driver Jockey. You will operate a tractor trailer, shuttle trailers between buildings, and perform routine safety checks and paperwork.

A valid license and clean MVR are essential, with CDL A preferred. Work is outdoors in all weather, with overtime and holiday requirements. We offer full-time schedules with health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, pension, and paid time off as part of our benefits

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate shuttles to move trailers between buildings and loading docks, following instructions.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on shuttle truck and report issues.
• Document trailer moves on daily move sheets and submit to shipping.
• Fuel the yard truck as needed and ensure a clean, safe work area.
• Conduct safety checks on trailers per DOT regulations and maintain PPE compliance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Assist in completing required paperwork at end of shift.
• Perform duties in all weather conditions and support a team-oriented environment.
