Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pulls trailers away from loading docks to be staged in the yard.
• Backs trailers to loading docks.
• Performs safety checks on yard equipment and trailers.
• Monitors yard for refrigerated equipment operation and maintaining temperature.
• Adjusts temperature set points on refrigeration units and reports shutdown codes to supervisor.
• Opens and closes doors on trailers, secures with locks or seals.
• Maintains radio contact with shipping personnel for instructions on moving trailers or other company equipment.
• Keeps a log of yard moves for their shift.
