Job summary

Id-Logistics in North Canton, OH is seeking a Yard Truck Driver to move trailers and spot them at loading docks. You will attach drive units, perform dock movements, and ensure proper trailer handling in a busy yard.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of verifiable experience, and the ability to operate a yard truck safely. Forklift experience and a possible Class A CDL may be needed; safety rules and GMPs must be followed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable experience.
• Ability to operate a yard truck; forklift experience required; Class A CDL may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs trailer movements by attaching drive unit to trailers to move to and from dock doors for loading and unloading.
• Checks trailer lights and tires and inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition.
• Monitors truck refrigeration units and may check temperature.
• Maintains an orderly lot and paperwork for trailer locations by performing daily yard checks.
• Checks empty trailers to ensure cleanliness.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and rules.
• Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
• Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
