Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Yard Technician at our Seattle, WA location. You will help load/unload equipment, verify tickets, and keep the yard organized while assisting customers with information and guidance on equipment usage and maintenance.

The role offers growth into other positions within Herc Rentals. A valid driver's license is required, and you will operate a variety of vehicles and machinery in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload internal truck drivers, outside haulers and customers.
• Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy.
• Clean, maintain, and organize heavy equipment and machinery.
• Review orders and stage equipment for drivers.
• Perform routine checks on rental equipment for safety and good working order.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard and work area.
• Answer and resolve customer questions.
• Provide customers with expert advice on equipment selection, operation and maintenance.
• Support all team members.
