Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Yard Technician in the St. Louis area to keep facilities clean and organized while ensuring equipment is safe and ready for use. You will learn the equipment rental business and grow into higher roles like Driver or Mechanic.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, ticket verification, equipment maintenance, and assisting customers with equipment selection and operation. Strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors when required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload internal truck drivers, outside haulers and customers.
• Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy.
• Clean, maintain, and organize heavy equipment and machinery.
• Review orders and stage equipment for drivers.
• Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure safety and operability.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard and work area.
• Answer and resolve customer questions.
• Provide customers with expert advice on equipment selection, operation and maintenance.

What you will do...

• Help to load and unload internal truck drivers, outside haulers and customers

• Support all team members

Requirements

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Pay Range:26.45 per hour
